Bulgarian Property

Situated in Southeastern Europe, Bulgaria occupies the Northeastern part of the Balkan Penninsula.  To the East, Bulgaria touches the Black Sea.  To the South  neighbours are the famous Greece and Turkey, Romania is to the north, much of it denoted by the River Danube, Serbia and Macedonia are Bulgaria’s neighbours to the West.

Bulgaria has the most stable economy in the Eastern Europe region, this stability has been achieved with the help of the International Monetary Fund currency board, which pegged the Bulgarian Lev to the Euro in 1998 -1999.

Founded in the year 681, Bulgaria has linked the East and West, controlling the key land routes from Europe to the Middle East and Asia for millennia.  Bulgaria is a land of crossroads and remembers many ancient civilizations such as Thracians, Slavs, Romans, Byzantines and the great people who wrote the pages of its remarkable history.
Bulgaria is distinguished by its generous and varied nature.  It offers great beaches in summer and great skiing in the winter, as well as cultural, eco, rural and spa tourism, natural mineral springs and spas, diverse flora and fauna, small picturesque villages with living traditions and folklore.  For an insight into the magnificent Bulgarian landscapes.

The most popular destinations are those on the coast and several skiing resorts.  The Black Sea Coast is dominated by the larger more successful summer resorts such as Sunny Beach and the Mountain destination which has grown in popularity substantially in recent years of Bansko.

With Bulgaria’s 2007 EU entry and in particular the newest Bulgarian resort, recently discovered, Bansko’s application to host the 2014 Winter Olympics, this is the perfect opportunity to purchase your very own mountain hideaway,  Skiers are delighted by the millions of euros being invested in Bansko to create over 65 kilometres of ski runs, with lift network covering 26 kilometres.

Bansko provides an interesting combination between the virgin nature of Pirin Mountains and the atmosphere of the ancient Bulgarian town.  Bansko is situated in the south-western foothills of one of the most beautiful Bulgarian mountains which is included in the WORLD NATURAL HERITAGE LIST.  The skiing conditions in Bansko are excellent, the Pirin Mountain has predominantly Alpine character with 3 peaks towering above 2900m, however, the slopes offer runs and tracks for all types of skiers, from novice to the experts.  The town itself attracts visitors to its 120 cultural monuments,  its museum houses and the permanent Ethnographic school of icon painting.

Surrounded by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodopa mountains, Bansko is a climatic mountain resort with summer and winter activities.  The average temp. during January which is the coldest  month is -9c.  For non skiers there is no excuse not to fall in love with Bansko.  This all season resort is not just a skiing paradise; 2 golf courses are due for completion.  Visitors and tourist can also enjoy snow boarding, Rock and Ice Climbing, Mountain Biking, Horse Riding and Hiking to name but a few of the activities available.  Alternatively, take a day to enjoy the quaint town of Bansko with its restaurants and taverns – both modern and traditional.

However, if the Beach is for you then Bulgaria can offer you glorious golden sandy beaches by the Black Sea.  The services provided within the resort are comparable to that of any Mediterranean village or town.

The beach resorts are serviced by  two main airports at Bourgas and Varna and the mountain resorts by Sofia and the new highway which make them within easy and comfortable drive with magnificent views.
